📦 Free Packing Slip Template

Below is the structure of a packing slip — the document that goes inside a shipment so the buyer can verify contents.

A packing slip lists what is in the box. It does not include prices — that is the invoice. The buyer uses it to check that everything arrived and to cross-reference against their order.

How to use

  1. 1Print one per shipment and put it inside the box.
  2. 2Do not include prices — the invoice handles that.
  3. 3If shipping multiple boxes, number them (Box 1 of 3).

Or automate this

Generating packing slips manually per order is slow. Nika creates packing slips from order data automatically — from {price} per shipment.

Questions

Is a packing slip the same as an invoice?

No. A packing slip lists contents without prices. An invoice lists prices and requests payment. Both go with a shipment, but the packing slip goes inside the box and the invoice may be sent electronically.

Do I need a packing slip for every order?

Not for digital products. For physical shipments, yes — it helps the buyer verify contents and serves as proof of what was shipped if there is a dispute.
